Join us to combat isolation, mental health and foster community spirit.

The Military Community Network Group CIC is a veteran-led charity committed to supporting those who serve, past, present, and future. We understand the challenges that come with military life and the transition beyond it, and we are here to ensure that every member of our community feels supported, empowered, and connected.
Through a range of innovative programmes and grassroots initiatives, we help veterans and their families access the tools, resources, and opportunities they need to thrive. From practical guidance and social events to mental health support and community engagement, we provide a network that truly understands and cares.
Driven by experience and compassion, we’re proud to stand beside our Armed Forces community, helping individuals find new purpose, forge strong relationships, and continue to make a difference long after their service ends

The horticultural therapy allotment project designed to support those who serve, past, present, and future.
We recognise the unique pressures of military life and transition, and this project provides a calm, purposeful environment where veterans can reconnect, rebuild confidence, and improve their physical and mental wellbeing through nature.
Through structured horticultural activities and hands on learning, veterans gain practical skills, routine, and a sense of achievement.
Working together on the allotment encourages social connection, peer support, and community engagement, while promoting resilience, mindfulness, and positive mental health in a supportive, understanding setting.
Guided by lived experience and compassion, the project also gives back to the wider community. Produce grown on the allotment is donated to local community groups that support our most vulnerable, allowing veterans to continue serving with purpose, strengthen relationships, and make a meaningful difference well beyond their military service.

NarrowVets offers veterans a peaceful, two day retreat aboard a narrowboat on the River Trent, starting from Nottingham.
This unique event provides an opportunity for veterans to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life, reconnecting with nature while slowing the pace down.
During the trip, veterans take an active role in operating the boat steering, working locks, and managing other essential duties like brewing up. This hands on experience fosters teamwork and self reliance, all in a calming environment.
Above all, NarrowVets is designed to support mental health by offering veterans space to reflect, unwind, and enjoy a sense of purpose.
The slower pace of the journey encourages moments of peace, reflection, and camaraderie, promoting relaxation and well-being.

VeteranTabs, a veteran-led hiking and outdoor wellbeing project supporting those who serve, past, present, and future.
We understand the physical and mental challenges associated with military life and transition, and VeteranTabs provides a safe, inclusive space where veterans can reconnect with nature, rebuild resilience, and strengthen both body and mind. Through guided hikes and structured outdoor activities, veterans and their families benefit from improved physical fitness, mental clarity, and peer connection.
Walking side by side encourages open conversation, mutual support, and camaraderie, helping to reduce isolation while fostering confidence, routine, and a renewed sense of purpose within a supportive military-aware environment. Driven by shared experience and compassion, VeteranTabs also promotes community connection and long-term wellbeing.
By encouraging veterans to remain active, build strong relationships, and support one another beyond the trail, the project helps individuals rediscover purpose, maintain positive mental health, and continue to make a difference long after their service ends.

BushVet, a veteran led bushcraft and outdoor skills weekend designed to support those who serve, past, present, and future. We recognise the challenges faced during and after military service, and BushVet offers an immersive, supportive environment where veterans can step away from daily pressures, reconnect with nature, and rediscover confidence through practical, hands-on activities.
Through a weekend of guided bushcraft experiences including archery, spoon carving, fire starting, and other traditional outdoor skills, participants build resilience, focus, and self-belief. Shared challenges encourage teamwork, peer support, and meaningful connection, while time spent outdoors promotes mindfulness, improved mental wellbeing, and a renewed sense of purpose.
Led by Rika ACE CIC and veterans informed by lived experience, BushVet fosters strong bonds and lasting impact. The project helps veterans develop transferable skills, strengthen relationships, and re-engage with a sense of achievement and belonging, empowering them to move forward with confidence and continue making a positive difference beyond their service.
